On 25 November 2025, the 56th Fund After Work took place at the Museum of Applied Arts in Frankfurt. Anevis once again participated as a sponsor.
Our colleagues from the Sales, Relationship Management and Operations teams held numerous valuable conversations ranging from operational questions to strategic outlooks.
Expert Talk on the Fund Risk Limitation Act (FRiG)
A key topic of the evening was the presentation by Dr Robert Eberius (LL.M., Associated Partner at POELLATH, Berlin). Under the title “Compliance and Opportunities: Spotlight on the Fund Risk Limitation Act”, he explained the background and regulatory implications of the FRiG.
The talk focused on how the new rules are integrated into the German Capital Investment Code (KAGB) and the implementation of AIFMD II by 16 April 2026.
Topics included the impact on lending activities by AIFs, requirements for outsourcing arrangements, and effects on liquidity management. The planned depositary passport and the adjusted thresholds for management companies were also discussed. Additionally, the presentation offered a concise overview of the expanded disclosure and reporting obligations towards BaFin and investors resulting mainly from AIFMD II. These include new information on liquidity management tools, fee structures and borrowing activities.
The general conclusion on the planned changes: while certain rules will ease requirements and open the door for new product categories, many detailed provisions will need to be analysed individually.
Cultural Impressions and Networking Afterwards
Immediately after the presentation, participants were invited to join guided tours through the museum, known for its modern architecture and stylish exhibitions. Four different tours were available, each offering fascinating insights into the “New Frankfurt” movement of the 1920s as well as the history of architecture and design.
The subsequent get-together with a flying buffet provided ample opportunity for further discussions. In the relaxed museum atmosphere, many new connections were made and conversations emerged around current market trends, reporting challenges and opportunities in digital process optimisation. Participants also had the chance to reconnect with valued industry colleagues, meet new faces and strengthen existing relationships.
We would like to thank Fund After Work and all participants for a successful and inspiring evening.
