Streamlined Regulatory Reporting for Alternative Investment Funds with Integrated Risk Calculations
The Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) imposes extensive reporting obligations on managers of alternative investment funds (AIFs) marketed within the EU, whether based in the EU or abroad.
Annex IV-Reporting requires a comprehensive disclosure of portfolio holdings, transactions, exposures and complex risk indicators, all in ESMA-specified formats. These filings are essential for enabling supervisory authorities to monitor systemic risks and market distortions. However, the process is complex: data is often fragmented across multiple systems, transformation into compliant formats demands specialist expertise, and the regulatory landscape continues to evolve. Anevis Solutions takes this complexity off your shoulders, delivering a complete managed service that ensures accuracy, efficiency and full compliance.

It applies to all AIFMs managing or marketing funds within the EU and mandates detailed periodic reports to national competent authorities. Annex IV of the directive specifies the exact data points and formats required, ranging from leverage and liquidity metrics to exposures by asset class, counterparty and geography. The objective is to strengthen financial stability by enabling regulators to identify and address potential risks early. Failure to submit accurate and timely reports can lead to significant sanctions and reputational harm, making reliable processes and data quality essential.

It requires the aggregation and validation of information from various internal and external sources, followed by transformation into ESMA-compliant XML files. Risk statistics such as VaR, DV01, Equity Delta, FX Delta and Currency Delta must be calculated with precision often requiring specialist systems. Many managers rely on two separate providers, one for risk analytics and another for compiling the Annex IV templates, which slows down processes and introduces coordination risks. In addition, reporting is not a one-off exercise but a recurring obligation, with deadlines tied to the reporting frequency of each fund and adjustments required for regulatory updates.

We prepare both the consolidated AIFM report and the individual AIF reports for all fund types (24_1, 24_2, 24_2_4 and 24_4), ensuring all filings are ESMA-compliant. Thanks to our integrated risk management service, all required complex risk statistics are automatically calculated within our platform eliminating the need for multiple providers and streamlining your reporting process. We guarantee fast delivery times, high data quality and full transparency. Our dissemination service ensures that your reports are submitted directly to the relevant supervisory authority. Throughout the process, our reporting specialists provide personal support, and our audit-proof, DORA-compliant IT infrastructure offers a complete historical overview of every submission.

At the same time, the service can be extended seamlessly into the Marketing Suite, for example through Factsheets that reuse the validated data for your sales and relationship teams. Within the Risk & Compliance Suite, the Risk Management Service acts as an additional puzzle piece, delivering the complex risk figures required for Annex IV reporting while also supporting broader risk oversight. This creates a consistent framework where regulatory obligations, investor communication and risk analysis are closely connected.
