PAI and EET Reporting

Showcase Your Sustainability Data with PAI Statements and Tailored EET Files

In the context of the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), the need for transparent and standardized sustainability reporting has grown significantly.

Asset managers and financial institutions must prepare Principal Adverse Impact (PAI) statements at company level as well as at product level, for example for funds. In addition, the market increasingly demands the provision of detailed ESG data in the form of European ESG Templates (EET), which are required by many distribution platforms to include products in their offerings. While the EET is not a legal obligation, it has become a de facto market standard for product distribution.

Regulatory and Market Context

The SFDR framework defines clear obligations for disclosing how sustainability factors are considered in investment decisions and what their adverse impacts are.

At the same time, market participants expect data to be provided in formats that allow easy integration into their own systems and platforms. This includes the EET, which consolidates information from SFDR, EU Taxonomy and MiFID II/IDD in a standardized template. For many firms, meeting both the regulatory requirement for PAI statements and the market expectation for EET delivery involves handling large volumes of complex, often incomplete ESG data, especially for illiquid assets.

Scalable and Individualized Reporting

Meeting these requirements often means combining two very different needs: the efficient production of large volumes of standardized documents and the flexibility to handle individual calculation rules.

While PAI statements are standardized and sometimes must be generated at big scale (eg. when reporting is done on account level) many EET quantitative fields are not yet harmonized, making individual calculation approaches necessary depending on each product’s sustainability strategy (eg. rules to calculate the Sustainability Contribution Indicator SCI). Anevis Solutions combines this level of individuality with an automated, high-performance infrastructure, ensuring that even highly customized calculations are delivered at scale with consistent accuracy and precision.
